PATHAAN : A SPY THRILLER WITH LESS THRILLS

Plot : Movie starts with Indian government revoking Article 370 which grants special status to Jammu & Kashmir which causes impact on cancer ridden patient Qadir who is a Pakistani Army General who is going to die wanted to take revenge against India before his death by hiring Jim(John Abraham) by waging a biological war. The movie revolves around how Pathaan saves the country from Qadir and Jim.

Review : Pathaan is a decent spy thriller which entertains you in parts. Sharukh Khan who is in much need for a hit after Zero which was released in 2018 gave his best for Pathaan with his action sequences and terrific screen presence. Deepika Padukone as Rubai and John Abraham as Jim are okay in their roles and thier charchterisations could have been better. Salman Khan as Tiger cameo is good. Cinematography by Satchith Paul is okay. Editing by Aarif Sheikh is crisp. Music by Vishal — shekar is not upto the mark. Production values are good.Coming to writer & director Siddarth Anand he succeded making a spy universe but the narrative is flat and the conflict is routine and VFX works could have been better.
