It was 2 AM, and Pavithra woke up and packed her bag. She made sure her parents were still sleeping. She touched her father’s feet and eloped from the house with all the cash and gold.

She met Vishnu at the railway station, Vishnu gave her water and asked her to relax. Looking into her eyes, He said “One day they will accept us for sure, Everything will be alright” Pavi dropped her head on his shoulder and held his arms tightly.

The train to Kolkata arrived and they were seated. By morning, they arrived in Kolkata and checked into a hotel.

Vishnu went out to bring something to eat. Pavi stayed in the hotel and rested on the bed. Later, She stood in front of a mirror and her hands were on her stomach. She was checking whether they were any changes in her body. Yes! you guessed it right. She was 3 months pregnant. That was the reason they had to elope all of a sudden. Vishnu took care of her in every possible way, But she had all her heart on her home. She took care of her physical health but couldn't take care of her mental health. It had been 3 months but there was no sign of marriage between the couple. They lied to the neighbors that they were already married.

One day Pavi saw Vishnu with another woman but couldn't believe her own eyes. They both argued and she asked him to get out. The next day Vishnu ran away with all the cash and gold. It broke Pavi, She was carrying a 7-month-old baby and the father left them all alone. She had no source of income and she had to work to take care of her fetus.

An old lady and her grandson came to the rescue. They took care of Pavi till delivery but she was under the weather.

Doctors said that they could only save one life of the two. Pavi got to know that she might have no chance of raising her baby therefore she started writing a letter to her unborn child.

Dear Ammu,

This is your mother who had left you alone in a place where Promise doesn't mean forever, compassion no longer matters, trust has no meaning, and Love is just a word. I am so sorry Ammu. The world is no longer a healthy place to live, but we must until death welcomes us. I got a call too early from god therefore I am leaving. So, I wanted you to be very careful. Be brave. I know you are the strongest girl in the world who emerged from the weakest womb. I want you to live with your grandparents. They are so kind enough to accept you. Take care of them. Listen to your grandpa, he is the wisest of all. Never raise your voice against them. Convey my apologies to them and tell them I love them so much.

Love you All.

Your Amma.
